Astronomy – Accelerate

Astronomy is one of the oldest sciences and is the study of celestial bodies such as stars, planets, comets, and galaxies. Ancient Greeks used the positions of the stars to navigate and to decide when to plant crops. Within each unit, there are a number of lessons. Quizzes are designed to assess your understanding of an individual lesson. Tests and research projects are designed to assess your understanding of the unit as a whole. There are two lab activities, which use classroom-safe materials. The goal of lab activities in this course is to collect and interpret data to further your understanding of the concepts.
