ENGL 033: Seventh-Grade English, Part 2 – Middle School

$175.00

The theme of this Seventh-Grade English, Part 2 course is Society and the Individual. You will explore big questions about people and the communities they live in. You will read stories, poems, and essays that show how individuals interact with society, and how society influences the choices people make. The course is divided into sixteen modules. As you progress through these modules, you will read a variety of texts that address different aspects of the theme and help you consider these essential questions: What makes a community work? What do people owe to each other? How do rules and expectations shape who we are? Why do people sometimes follow the crowd? What motivates people to follow or rebel against societal structures?

This is the second course in a two-part Seventh-Grade English series (ENGL 031 and ENGL 033).
