Spanish I is an introductory, self-paced online course designed for students beginning their journey in the Spanish language. This course focuses on building foundational skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish, while also exploring the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries.
Students will learn to communicate about everyday topics such as personal preferences, time and dates, weather, clothing, colors, emotions, and daily activities. Key grammar concepts—including regular -ER and -IR verb conjugations, stem-changing verbs, the verbs ser, estar, and ir, prepositions, adjective placement, and the present progressive tense—are introduced through engaging lessons, interactive activities, and real-world applications.
Because this course is self-paced, students are encouraged to manage their own learning schedule while meeting essential checkpoints and completing assignments by designated deadlines.
